Background Summary: Darby Anderson is an independent artist living in Omaha, Nebraska. He was born and raised in Cushing, Iowa and attended colleges in Nebraska and Iowa where he studied to be a painter. At Westmar College, he studied under Midwest landscape artist Gary Bowling who was then head of the Art Department. In 1993, Darby was able to travel to London and Paris to see and study the work of the old masters and the Impressionists. After many years of working as a designer and advertising director in Denver, Darby moved to Omaha in 2004. Darby has studied under many well known artists through classes and workshops including Gary Bowling, Milt Heinrich, Ramon Kelly and Michael Ome Untiedt.
